BVA's sense of community plays a role in shaping the work environment.
— Kate Hinz
Q: Describe your career journey and what brought you to BVA.
I began my career as an auditor at a Big Four audit firm. I later decided to join an international consulting firm as I was drawn to more strategic and problem-solving aspects of litigation consulting work. I then spent three years working on financial forensic investigations and litigation support engagements at a boutique consulting firm in Dallas. I joined BVA in the summer of 2017, eager for the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best and brightest in the industry. At BVA, I apply the expertise I've gained throughout my career while expanding my skills in lost profits analysis, bankruptcy consulting, White Collar defense matters, and business valuation disputes.
Q: How does BVA's sense of community influence the work environment?
BVA’s sense of community plays a role in shaping the work environment. Participating in our quarterly giving back events fosters collaboration and teamwork inside and outside the office.
Q: What aspects of your work do you find most fulfilling? Which do you find most challenging?
Business disputes can feel like solving a complex puzzle. I enjoy strategizing internally with my team and externally with the client, executing the work plan, and helping resolve the issue at hand. The challenge lies in how we can think creatively and help our clients put forth the best possible case.
