The Opportunity

BVA Group is recruiting exceptional candidates for the Financial Analyst position in both its Dallas and Houston offices.  We are seeking “self-starters”—candidates who take initiative, offer ideas and suggestions to their team members, and are adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment. Financial Analysts work directly with senior-level colleagues, assist in solving complex financial problems, and help provide valuable solutions from day one.  Our Financial Analysts are given considerable responsibilities and are crucial to the value BVA brings to its clients.

The Responsibilities

  • Create detailed financial models and other relevant analyses, including economic damages calculations and business valuation models.
  • Communicate findings to team members concisely and effectively.
  • Conduct industry and market research.
  • Assist with the preparation of expert reports including related exhibits and other written analyses, presentations, and communications.
  • Engage in due diligence efforts, including ensuring proper intake and organization of data and documents, and identifying and synthesizing relevant information.
  • Develop and assess financial projections and forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Assist with various business development, firm marketing, and recruiting efforts.

The Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • A high sense of urgency, strong initiative, and the ability to multitask.

The Qualifications

  • Communicate with clients and colleagues in written and oral form including drafting expert reports and presentations to clients.
  • Coordinate with clients/counsel and be able to serve as the primary point of contact.

  • Serve as a development coach/resource for analysts and senior analysts.
  • Participate in various business development, firm marketing, and recruiting efforts.

The Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, and/or economics.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in the dispute consulting industry.

  • Prepare expert reports and other written analyses and communications.
  • Develop and manage relationship with clients/counsel.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor junior professionals.
