Q: Describe the culture at BVA.
BVA's culture can be described as one where collaboration and transparency is encouraged. In addition, BVA provides the right support framework for every employee. Every person at the firm is welcoming, open to different ways of thinking while working on projects and focused on working towards a common goal.
Q: How does BVA differ from other firms where you have worked?
BVA has undoubtedly been the most open and transparent environment I have worked in. What stands out the most to me is being able to reach out to anyone at the company and get any question I have answered promptly and enthusiastically. Another thing that separates BVA from other companies I have worked for in the past has been BVA's commitment to community building. Be it through regular volunteer activities or being able to pick my co-workers brains on their favorite charities.
Q: How has working at BVA provided you with unique professional opportunities?
BVA strives to place people on the right projects and in the right opportunities that drive career growth. This has helped me tremendously as I have been able to gain experience working on projects in areas that I had not previously worked on. In addition, BVA pushes you to be more proactive in networking which is a key component of career development at this stage in my career.
Q: What community involvement or volunteer activities does BVA participate in, and how do these reflect the firm's values?
BVA participates in a robust set of community and volunteer activities. Since I have been here, we have volunteered at the local library, at a center dedicated to people with autism, prepared backpacks for the YMCA, and Kid’s meals, etc. Each of these volunteer activities represent BVA’s commitment to impacting the lives of others and making a difference in the local community.
